01. Lil Jaye x Eco$ystem - From The Mud

Featuring two of 66 Records’ elite, ‘From Tha Mud’ is a track dedicated to manifesting your destiny. Lil Jaye and Eco$ystem highlight their journey, using ear-catching, autotuned flows to convey that their eyes never steer from the prize. The spacious synths and barraging 808s enhance the motivational feel, Creating the perfect backdrop for this duo’s back-and-forth celebration.

02. Erik Sanders - Back 2 Brissy

Erik Sanders revels in the sounds of rage on ‘BACK 2 BRISSY’. The sparse, layered synths bounce off thumping 808s, and this upcoming prospect harnesses the hype to create a banger. His off-kilter, ear-catching flows elevate with energy, making this an undeniable crowd-raiser at future shows.

03. TOBi - Flowers

‘Flowers’ treats you to a soothing vocal sample and hushed instrumentals, as TOBi unpacks intimate experiences of his time in therapy, and helping his friends through rough patches. He raps with conviction, with every word enunciated concisely across the early 00’s-esque hip-hop production. Just as TOBi speaks on the importance of giving people their flowers, we hope to do the exact same.

04. Sevy - Mami Wata / Domino

Sydney’s Sevy makes a welcome return with ‘Mami Wata / Domino’ a double track with a low-key feel. With hints of dancehall in the production, Sevy delivers a trippy little bop that feels familiar and alien all at once — Mantis Style! We’re always eager to hear where Sevy will take us next.

05. Lara Andallo - What U Want

Dominating the R&B scene with absolute ease is Lara Andallo, who shares all on ‘What U Want’. Her striking, layered vocals over a muffled bass at the beginning is only a taste of a much more entrancing, and complex track to come. Andallo spreads a message of women’s liberation, sandwiched in between a fusion of hard hip-hop and futuristic, electronic production, reminiscent of a late 90s Britney Spears. If you’re curious as to who is fronting the Aussie R&B scene right now, keep Lara Andallo on your radar.

06. Wiki x Subject5 - The Fonz

Subjxct 5’s beat is the first thing that hits you in the ‘The Fonz’. Gutter-dwelling drums crash, contrasted by the skyscraper-high summits of the string samples; think Dipset, but a little dirtier. Wiki uses this atmosphere to accuenate his swagger, finding unique flow pockets and letting off wordplay in a frenzy. Their collaborative EP Cold Cuts, is slated for an October 21st release.

07. Mason Dane - Water To Wine ft. Babyface Mal

Having seen their first link-up during the 2022 Acclaim All-Stars Chypers, we can safely say that Mason Dane and Babyface Mal are a match made in heaven. Both display a barrage of energy, with Mason letting off melodic raps bound to ramp up any function, and Mal moving through ear-catching flows mellifluously. The beat is bouncy and bound for club rotation, so get ready to bump this one for the rest of the year.

08. Carlito Hendrix - Reach

Melbourne’s Carlito Hendrix laments on his newest track ‘Reach’. The spacious production featuring bright keys and smooth sax leaves plenty of space for Carlito to get into his storytelling bag. With wavy vocals and a slick melodic style, Carlito has just entered the chat as an exciting one to watch.

09. Planet Giza - Das U

There are major N.E.R.D vibes in this latest cut from Planet Giza. A lurking sub bass pulsates throughout, supporting vibrant synth chords and rattling percussion. It’s somewhat minimalist, allowing for the sleek, laid-back flows to bring the fire. It’s another great example of this Montreal group’s limitless potential.

010. Enny - Champagne Problems

South-London’s Enny returns with her first release of 2022, featuring the same signature storytelling and delicate lyricism that we got familiar with when her breakout track ‘Peng Black Girls’ released in 2020. From the get-go, she captures your attention at the announcement of her first bar, as it glides seamlessly over the glossy instrumentals provided. ENNY idealises rapping as an artform on this track, and there is no better way to welcome her back into our playlists than through ‘Champagne Problems’.
